I'm just back from Baltimore, having attended the Eastern Division meeting of the American Philosophical Association. My first one was about 50 years ago (including attendance at the Western/Central and Pacific Division meetings). Along the way, I've been tapped to read a paper, to respond to a paper, and moderate a number of sessions. It's a good way to stay abreast of the profession, whether by listening to papers, engaging in discussions (whether in the sessions or in the hall), or visiting the booksellers' exhibits. The APA just published this brief interview, and I was gratified that I could pitch in a word on the faith. Yes, there are Christians in the APA, but their voices are typically not the norm.
